Business Plan Competition Awards 2009

The Business Advisory Centre Northumberland is pleased to announce this year's winners. Cash prizes were awarded to the following students:

1st Overall - Zachary Field, East Northumberland Secondary School - $1000
2nd Overall - Zach Workman, Port Hope High School - $500
3rd Overall - Shawn Nutley, East Northumberland Secondary School - $350
4th Overall - Marian Waffle, Port Hope High School - $300
5th Overall - Laura Panta, St Mary’s  Secondary  School - $250
6th Overall - Kelly Kew, East Northumberland Secondary School - $200

Zachary Field becomes a finalist for the Regional and Provincial Competition. Winners will be announced at an awards celebration on November 7, 2009.

The award for the school with the most students placing in the overall top six:

                    They will proudly display the trophy for the 2009/10 school year!

$15 gift certificates were presented for the Top 3 Business Plans in each participating class.

St Mary's Secondary School:
Laura Panta, Tania DeMattos, and Carolyn Saunders

East Northumberland Secondary School:
Zachary Field, Shawn Nutley, and Kelly Kew

Port Hope High School:
1st Semester: Zach Workman, Joshua Vandewindt and Chris Boot
2nd Semester: Marian Waffle, Tonya King, and Erin Bone
